Thank you, gratography! I agree that PA is getting chillier. I have been seeing several different types of dragonflies but this one was very striking with all the red. Thanks for your help!
I's getting late in the season for Pennsylvania dragonflies. The red body and the small amount of red in the wings near the body, along with the season suggests a male Autumn meadowhawk. They are common in most areas of the United States, except for the Southwest. https://greennature.com/meadowhawks/
