Field Notes

Description:

Small green larva with a black head capsule, about 1 cm long. It cuts a corner of a leaf and with it's own silk, closes the triangle of leaf around itself (second picture). I´m not sure if this is a daily protective process or preparation for pupation. Looks like a Skipper larva, Family Hesperiidae.
