Description:

Wingspan of 63-72 inches. Length of 24-32 inches. Weight of 1.8-5.1 pounds. Body feathers are brown/black and adult's head is red with little to no feathers.

Habitat:

Most abundant kind of vulture in the US. Lives in open country, subtropical forests, shrublands, deserts, foothills, pastures, grasslands, and wetlands.
