Description:

A very large bird with a wingspan of 6 to 8.5 feet. Found in sub-Saharan Africa.

The martial eagle is an apex predator, being at the top of the avian food chain in its environment and, if in healthy condition, having no natural predators.

This one was high up on a dead tree, pulling apart and eating a medium sized bird

Habitat:

Chobe riverfront, situated in the extreme Northeast of the Chobe National Park. Mainly fairly open lush floodplains
