Field Notes

Description:

This plant was about less than 1 meter tall. It produced unusual white colored flowers with 6 petals that curled inward. The flowers had three dark semi-circle shaped splotches on three of the larger petals (the other three smaller ones didn't have any), and they were rimmed with an orange color. In the center there were three white oval shaped parts. The petals were all dotted with many tiny orange specks. It had a long straight stem that was green colored.

Habitat:

This plant was living in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The climate there was partially cloudy, and the flowers were in an area where they could have enough sunlight. I spotted them at 6:24 PM.
