Field Notes

Description:

They have a large, flattened shell and paddle-like flippers.

Habitat:

Found in warm waters around the world, we just saw a few coming up for air near the jetty. Usually there are just Loggerhead Sea Turtles in the area, but the sea turtle watch crew was driving along the coast looking for sea turtles that had washed up, and they told us a lot of greens had been in the area lately.
