Description:

Medium sized skink, dark olive dorsal, bright orange to cream ventral, lighters spots speckled along the side.

Habitat:

seen in urban garden.

Yes, I thought that too. Actually these guys were all over this garden, I got the impression they are extremely common. I thought he was the same speckled lipped skink that I had seen in Tanga, but looking closer I think the orange is quite strong and he is different... but not sure.. Definitely cute!
close to Trachylepis maculilabris, but still not a match
That is an interesting lizard. At first glance I was thinking salamader, then skink. But to find that combination of orange under, dark above and large white specks ist difficult. Nice spotting
