Field Notes

Description:

About an inch long, a shade of tan/yellow, looked as if it had ridges and pockets.

Notes:

I am not sure what this is but would love some help with identification. I did do some research and found some images that were similar to a praying mantis egg sac/case.

Fun Facts: Egg cases can hold anywhere from a few dozen eggs to 400! Nymphs hatch within the case. It takes 3-6 months for nymphs to emerge from the case.

Thank you everyone for the i.d. suggestions. Sorry it took so long to update the post.

Yes, it looks like they already hatched. If it's not mantises, I still think it is some sort of arthropod egg case. If you are unsure, just go with the category of your best guess.
Thank you Machi. I was not sure what category to place it under sense I was not quite sure what it was. Do You also believe it is a mantis egg sac/case?
This should be in the arthropods category :)
That's what it looks like to me...Mantis egg case. The ones I have seen in India are cream or white, though.
