Description:
Immature male with female-like plumage (overall yellowish-green). The reddish feathers in the throat indicate it is a male (which will become all red when it is about one year old). The tapered rectrices (tail feathers) indicate this is an immature in its first year of life. Age of this bird is 6-9 months old, based on the timing of local breeding. Dusky lores and cheek are typical of all plumages of this species.
