Description:

Gumleaf katydid eating a black flower scarab.

Habitat:

Mallee Gum flowers attract beetles and would seem to be a good hunting ground.

Thanks Mark Thanks Sergio Thanks Leuba Thanks Armadeus. This carnivorous katydid was ID'd and recently described by David Rentz. I actually study beetles so this guy was not helping me at all.
