Field Notes

Description:

A medium sized brown bird with a yellow beak hooked on top. Often seen swimming in wetland areas and dives for fish and crustaceans. Also has beautiful bright green eyes.

Habitat:

Wetlands

Notes:

I came across this beauty having a fight with this Needlefish (Belonidae sp.), possibly an Atlantic Needlefish (Strongylura marina). After a short tussle, the Needlefish lost.
