Field Notes

Description:

Sparkling white plumage, yellow spot before the eye, and black legs with yellow feet mark this adult egret as a Snowy.

Habitat:

I enjoyed watching this hunting Snowy Egret on the Oceanside pier in the morning sunshine. Love his postures as he concentrates on what is going on below the pier. Interestingly, he walked very carefully as if afraid he would fall off the railing!
