Field Notes

Description:

Small dry star-bursts of galls on the upper surfaces of gum leaves. These eruptions looked a lot "neater" than some of the galls induced by these little hemipterans.

Habitat:

Spotted on silver-leaf stringy bark (Eucalyptus cinerea) in a reserve.

Notes:

These galls are induced by small hemipterans called psyllids and probably looked like this before the adult erupted out. <br>
