Description:

Medium sized Bee, about 1 inch long, solid black slightly glossy abdomen, two wide white stripes across the centre of his body.

Habitat:

Seen in an urban garden

Notes:

He was obsessed with something under this chair and I could not get him to sit still for a wings down pic.

oh now after identification, I see why she was so obsessed with this wooden chair. They build their nests in dead wood, bamboo or structural timbers.
