Description:
This is the most common rabbit species in North America. It measures 36–48 cm (14–19 in) in total length and can weight from 800 to 2,000 g (1.8 to 4.4 lb)
Habitat:
This rabbit was spotted in our backyard; semi-rural SW Pennsylvania. They are frequent visitors.
Notes:
Eastern Cottontail Rabbits can see behind themselves without rotating their heads, but they have a blind spot directly in front.
