Description:

Brilliant green base colour with large dark patches. Gold highlights.
On the left is a golden triangle. ..this is something I have not seen before. Is it just a trick of the light?

Habitat:

Weeds on roadside verge. Residential colony.

Apparently ladies of yesteryears would cut out small circles of the colourful carapace and use as bindis to decorate the forehead. It is called Kanch-poka (Glass-insect) in Bangla.
