Field Notes
Description:
A medium sized butterfly feasting on ripe mango on a tree beside the lodge. Wingspan of about 75–90 millimetres (3.0–3.5 in)
When resting or feeding the butterflies usually keep their wings closed, but if disturbed they will flick them half-open momentarily. They don't seem to be disturbed by humans close by, and continue feeding after the other species leave.
Habitat:
near a lodge in tropical montane forest
