Field Notes

Description:

A rather small corvid (approx 35cm in length) but a medium sized bird. Appears all black, but in fact, the neck and breast are rather grey to dark grey. Short and rather pointed black bill, and pale-grey or silvery-grey eyes.
Sometimes classified as Coloeus monedula.

Habitat:

Here, observed in urban setting, in a historical monument of Salines Royales, in Jura.
