This seems to be the common one spotted by mushroom hunters in Georgia at this time of year. You could join the Facebook Mushroom Identification Forum if you wanted to submit pics for ID. There are quite a lot of experts on this forum who could confirm or correct my ID.
PucaK, I looked through this list http://www.mushroomexpert.com/phallaceae.html to find out which species it is, but I couldn't really tell the difference between a few of them that I thought it could be. How did you distinguish the species?
