Description:

A Burrowing Bug about 8mm in length, Family Cydnidae. These bugs are rarely seen due to their fossorial habits. All stages are found underground where they feed on roots and plant stems. Adults are good fliers and can show up at lights, as this one did.

Habitat:

Came to the lights of a store, Axtla de Terrazas near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
