Description:

Reptiles ( meaning " to creep stealthily under cover of darkness " ) are a group of animals that have scales ( or modified scales ), breathe air, and usually lay eggs. Most reptiles live on land and reproduce by laying eggs. Reptiles, are cold - blooded vertebrate, that includes: crocodiles, snakes, lizards, tortoises and turtles. I found this reptile, on the floor of a closet, inside my house. From the front of its head, to the end of its tail, this reptile was about four inches long. The color of this reptile, was different shades of brown. Triangular head. Two eyes. Four legs. Five toes on each foot. Banded rear legs. Clawed feet. Long tail. Medium and light line, running from the middle of its head ( top of head ), down the top of its body, and down the length of its tail ( top of tail ). This reptile was alive and able to move.

Habitat:

Deserts, forests, prairies, marshes, and rocky areas. Most live on the ground, or in trees. Reptiles are found around the world. I found this reptile inside my house.

Notes:

This reptile was alive, and able to move.
