Description:

Iguanas sun themselves and spend a large portion of their day in trees. This one had a lot of attitude.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Florida Keys, green iguanas are considered invasive in FL. They're native to the Caribbean, as well as Central and S. Americas.

Notes:

Also known as pollo de los árboles "chicken of the trees" or "stick hen" gallina de palo.

Beautiful shot Mauna. How big was it? I see that's been some time ago. You may not remember. I assume it is small/young to still have the brilliant colors.
