Field Notes

Description:

I think the long thin ones are Mosquito larva, at least some anyway.I hope the fish eat them, they usually do but they are early this year.
I will create a separate spotting for the oval larvae.

Habitat:

Garden pond on limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.

Well I guessed that and scooped them all out and left them in the sun to dry. The birds soon got rid of them!
They are mosquito larvae, and the small oval/round shaped ones that you referred to are mosquito pupae.
