Field Notes

Description:

About an inch long, this wasp moth has a shiny blue-black abdomen, transparent wings with jet-black markings on them, and antennae that are golden orange from base to tip. It was a spider victim, with some web wrapped around its middle.

Habitat:

Found on my veranda, in rainforest in the Maya Mt. foothills.
