Field Notes

Description:

Short with feathery leaves, purple flowers

Habitat:

Pastureland, outside Evant TX, which can get pretty dry.

Notes:

According to the commenter who answered my request for information, it's a moss verbena. The description of moss verbena on wateruseitwisely.com shows that it prefers the kind of dry area I found it in. It's native to South America, not North America.
