Description:
A beautiful female of Micrathena. Only females produce large amounts of silk and this one was in the center of her web and then went to the edges to hide from the camera. About 1 cm in length. In the second picture, you can see the large silk production organelle on the underside of the abdomen.
Habitat:
Huasteca Forest, Edward James Surrealism Park, Xilitla, San Luis Potosí.
