Field Notes

Description:

Though not a true rosemary, it sure looks like one! If you look closely on the plant you can see these flowers and fruits growing right out of the stems.

Habitat:

Sandy pine and oak forest in the Withlacoochee State Forest Citrus A Tract. This trail has quite a healthy crop of them if you know where to look.

Notes:

Its habitat is important for the endangered Florida Sand Skink in central Florida.
