Field Notes

Description:

Common passerine birds found in or near wetlands and water sources throughout much of North America. The female's plumage appearance is heightened during the breeding season. Streaking throughout, light brownish-orange throat and face. Cream eye streak bordered by dark brown.

Habitat:

Spotted at one of the wetland ponds next to the Green River at Flaming Geyser State Park.
