Field Notes

Description:

Male is glossy black with white flanks, a white belly and a drooping crest from the back of the head. Female is brown with darker upperparts, paler yellowish flanks and a white belly. Bill is blue-grey and eyes are golden.

Habitat:

Kew Royal botanic gardens, London.
