Description:

At 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon, I opened the front door, and I saw a moth, resting on the outside of the front door. This moth, was one fourth of an inch long. Order: Lepidoptera Family: Tineidae Genus: Acrolophus ( Tubeworm Moths ) Species: mycetophagus ( Frilly Grass - tubeworm Moth) Larval host food: bracket fungus

Habitat:

I found this moth, resting on the outside, of the front door. Range: South Carolina to Florida. West to Texas.

Notes:
