Field Notes

Description:

This cluster of fungi had rust brown smooth caps about 30 mm wide. The margins of the caps were paler with a ring of white universal veil remnants. Sturdy pale stipes had rough brown patches and gills were a pale brown with dark specks.

Habitat:

Spotted on a decaying eucalyptus log - sclerophyll forest.
