Field Notes

Description:

This butterfly belongs to Lycaenidae family.
The underside forewing has a row of large spots and both wings have pale submarginal markings.
This butterfly is a very early season species, emerging in early April and largely disappearing by the end of the month.

Habitat:

Much of the Iberian Peninsula and southern France. North Africa. However it's not a common sight.
Hot dry grassy places with flowers.
