Description:

Male is brownish grey , female is rufous or chestnut brown

Habitat:

forest in the westernghats,south india

Notes:

spotted these birds with help of bird experts in the local area.....

Well there you go! I had no idea there was a frogmouth species in Sri Lanka and India. How amazing they are. I get tawny frogmouths around my place in Brisbane. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/21295275 I'm delighted to know they have beautiful cousins abroad :-)
