Field Notes

Description:

Probably a Conura amoena, but I'm not sure. It has some spikes on its back and swollen femurs. Though the last two aren't very great photos, you can see its sitting and flying posture in them, which I think further show how different they are from other wasps

Habitat:

Suburban yard on a Cassia plant

Notes:

I have photographed a similar one on this plant last year, but it always proves to be a very difficult subject as it rarely lands for long and it is so small and fast that it is hard to follow.
