•They eat vegetable material and small aquatic creatures.
•They are territorial during breeding season.
•They lay about 8 eggs early in the season, later in the season they have 5-8 eggs.

Habitat:

Ponds, well-vegetated marshes, canals and other wetlands
-I saw this bird in Hildesheim(Germany)
