Field Notes

Description:

A brown hairy caterpillar with an orange head and white/cream dorsal spots. Approximately 3-4 cms long.

Habitat:

Was found on a brick wall in a highly developed urban environment. No visible green plant life.

Notes:

Was found on the second of December in Cardiff. Although this season has been exceptionally warm, this still seems very late.
