Field Notes

Description:

This orchid is roughly 7cm wide and 8cm long. It has pink flowers and leathery petals. The plant itself is quite tall, reaching up to around your hip level. The flowers are white with a purple-to-pink lip, and shaped similarly to a Cattleya orchid flower.

Habitat:

This orchid was found in Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. It was grown in a well cared, rich environment. This plant was found in a cold, slightly moist, shady area.

Notes:

These Bamboo orchids grow in large clumps and are easy to care for. They can grow year round but are seen more in the summer.
