Field Notes

Description:

about 15 cm wingspan. Fantastic moth. The forewing spots has a transparent part in them which can be seen in the third photo.

There are two different individuals in this spotting, so it is possible to se the small differences in the pattern.

Habitat:

Lodge during the evening.

Notes:

My first record of this Moth was at the end of October last year. I am happy to see that it is active now as well. (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/61576104)

Oh that is so true! They were once sisters or brothers sharing the same plant, for sure! Thank you for sharing that link, and your comment Lauren :)
This is so beautiful. It looks so much like our Central American species of Copaxa (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/32724026/fullscreen). I like the name Cat's Eye Moth.
Thank you so very much Anne and Outsidergirl for your comments on this spotting!
Thank you so much Dr NamgyalT.Sherpa, and to you dear Tom!
