Description:

tall perennial, up to 3m (10'), covered in small but sharp thorns

Habitat:

cloudforest, 2500m

Notes:

I spotted this in Parque Ucumari. There were a lot of these growing along the trail though not many in flower. Even brushing past them casually wearing pants caused irritation and a bit of a burning sensation.
