Field Notes

Description:

A very tiny Nolid moth, only 6.5mm in length from head to wing tip. White with black markings. The edge of the wings are lined with long hairs.

Habitat:

Found resting on the white wall of the lodge, seemingly trying to camouflage after being attracted to the building's night lights in the tropical lowland rainforest of Tawau Hills Park, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo). Also distributed in Java, Philippines, India, and Taiwan.

Notes:

>>Map accuracy: 5m. Also similar to its relatives, the Manoba genus from the same subfamily - Nolinae.
