Description:

It is the biggest pidgen in the region.Easy to identify due to the white on his neck and wings, dark band in the tail, also visible in flight. Young ones are darker without white at the neck. The call is a coo-coo-coo. Flight straight and quick. It takes off with a loud clattering during take off. The display flight is very distinctive strong flapping rising up and gliding down with stiff wings.

Habitat:

Woody areas, likes to be on top of trees. Spotted on a tree by the Tormes river. Close to Salamanca town.
