Field Notes

Description:

heard & seen a lot usually high up sitting on the telephone wires but this was first I've seen on feeder; medium sized maybe 10 inches; grey above and white below; black & white wings; long tail; usually harass other birds; sings endlessly the calls of other birds usually in patterns of 3 similar phrases at a time then changing to different bird

Habitat:

urban backyard

Notes:

gotta love the Latin scientific name "Mimus polyglottos" for this bird - says what it does - mimics calls of other birds
