European wall lizard
Podarcis muralis
45.1233, 8.88927
Field Notes
Description:
It was about 11 cm long, not timid at all, the only lizard not to escape at my approach and to come out every time I passed by. The other specimens were much smaller but I think them to belong to the same species.
Habitat:
a wooden door in my countryhouse and the cracks in the wall around it
Notes:
the only spotted lizard I saw in the area, the others being all striped, and also the biggest.
