Description:

Worm found in live oak tree. Chewed two foot long tunnel in oak tree branch.

Cool find Mary! This is a larva of some sort of insect! It most reminds me of a Longhorned Beetle larva. The larvae of these beetles feed within dead and dying wood mostly. I am not even going to attempt at an ID on this though it's possible that someone else might know. Many larvae are hard to distinguish from one another.
