Field Notes

Description:

This very small white fungi is shown growing out of a fallen down tree. It has a scaly white side surface and a brown and white striped. It's texture is light white and has a brown core. It is about 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall.

Habitat:

It was found on a dying tree in a tropical rainforest, it is only surrounded by plants and a pathway ( man made ), it was also around some insect life.

Notes:

There was some other fungi growing on the same tree, and it was a home to ants as well.
