Description:

female, small lizard, prominent beige stripe down its back

Habitat:

pacific coast rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this my first day of hiking in San Cipriano forest reserve. I've searched my Reptiles and Amphibians of the Amazon, but haven't found a match.

Dan, from what I can find, it resembles a female Crested Anole, Anolis cristatellus. For some reason, there aren't very many pictures of them. I found a couple that are close: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rwolfert/2496505801/ (scroll down) http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213755 (third one down) Yours might be a juvenile. That's my best guess.
