Description:

A Salepeira-grande é uma herbácea vivaz que pode atingir cinquenta centímetros de altura, tuberosa, com dois ou três tubérculos ovoides, caule grosso, folhas basais brilhantes formando uma roseta, inflorescência cilíndrica e densa.

Habitat:

Habita em terrenos arrelvados e húmidos, bem como em clareiras de matas e na berma de estradas e caminhos.
