I had that thought - although the eared dove has a more pointed tail. I did see a really nice partially leucistic Great Thrush on this trip.
Since the few white feathers are only on one side, it seems this bird just has a few leucistic feathers so is likely the species you think it is. I am not familiar with doves down there though!
