Field Notes

Description:

Red to orangish beetle with an elongated body and black spots on elytra and protonum. Dark legs and antennae. These beetles were found in great numbers on the milkweed plants in the park.

Habitat:

Meadow, on milkweed. Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.
