Field Notes

Description:

Swimming across open water towards the bushes at a very fast speed. Sora are very secretive birds normally, so I am surprised it made a break for it in such open water.

Habitat:

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

Notes:

I thought I had never seen a Sora before, but after going through some pictures I found this! I was very new to birding at the time, so I assumed it was a duck and forgot about it.
